currently: restless

so we wrapped up this part of the lettuce lady sandwich and gas giveaway on thursday. im back in atlanta at the parental units until tomorrow morning when i fly back home. im very very glad to be returning home, i didnt realize how very few people here i care about enough to see. needless to say ive just been slumming around the house. this is also because i havent had a car this weekend. its also because im currently trying to lessen my caffeine addiction. i have been having insane withdrawals, which makes me keep giving back in to coffee so i can get my head to stop hurting. today it was so bad that my head felt like it was going to split open and i felt sick to my stomach. i gave in around 2pm and had a venti coffee at starbucks. i think thats ok since i usually go for triple shot lattes. my headache hadnt gone away so i had another coffee and chased it with some pain killers. i feel half normal now. im doing this since lately ive had to carry around caffeine pills to take before demos if we havent had time to stop and get coffee before hand. i also read about how bad caffeine is in the book 'skinny bitch'. oh well. if you see me drinking coffee give me a dirty look...but dont take it away from me because i will probably scrape your eyes out with a rusty spoon.
i have never been hit on more at a demo then i was the other day in new orleans. i kept getting asked if i was married. in mobile it was quite popular to tell me that they would rather eat me then the sandwich. i assured them the sandwich tasted better (i hadnt showered beforehand).

i love love loved being back in new orleans. that is hands down my favorite city in the country. nicole and i ran into a hotel so she could use a bathroom and during i was asking a guy where a starbucks was. he proceeded to tell me that we werent allowed to go there when there were so many other good coffee places around. when nic came back he started to give us directions to cafe du mond (which had AMAZING coffee) and i interupted him and suggested he just walk us over there. it turned out he was a tour guide and gave us some awesome history facts about the city. he stayed with us for our coffee then also walked us to where we were having dinner. it was awesome. we gave our left over sandwiches from the demo to some gutter punk kids. i want to be a gutter punk for like a month. especially in new orleans where you can drink in public.

Mmmmm. Cafe Du Monde. For some reason, I always pictured us there, together, but I guess life got in the way and forced us to enjoy delicious chicory coffee with other wonderful people instead.

But one day, one day soon, we need to go for chicory coffee and beignets. Together.
